Unless you are the victim of wakefulness and you have not had a long night of peaceful sleep in a long time, you will not be likely to know much about the subject. Many young people deal with this problem every day in their lives and then they have to go to work or school in the morning because the system and the rat race do not allow for sleep problems or excuses. Sadly not being able to sleep does not necessarily count as an illness and will not be accepted as a reason for getting late to work or to school.
In fact, insomnia which is a very real problem, is not considered a problem at all and is often ignored by many people but what they do not realize is that lack of sleep could be ruining their bodies severely and making their internal organs weak. Our bodies function on a sleep and wake cycle and it is when we are asleep that our organs clean themselves and become stronger. This is why doctors recommend a minimum of eight hours sleep every single day.
Symptoms and cures
Many specialists who study sleep studies show that a lack of sleep on a regular basis can result in various problems and you can get very sick by not having the right amount of sleep. Usually, these signs of weakness will begin to show on your face with dark circles around your eyes or an acne break out in the first stages with many other issues as time passes which can be a lot more serious.
Although the subject has not been studied in great detail, specialists have found that there are many medical issues and conditions that can result in sleeplessness. Some of these conditions include asthma, arthritis due to the pain, gastrointestinal issues, reflux and other severe pains. If the condition is temporary and a result of a temporary condition such as a sprain or a broken bone, you should not worry too much as it will pass off with time and a few strong pain killers should help you to sleep easier. However, if the problem is long lasting, you will want to have it checked up by a doctor as it can cause many dangerous issues. You need to identify the cause of your problem and find out if it is a result of some other condition or if it is a problem of its own. If it is another condition such as asthma that is causing it then you need to find a way to treat that condition.
